We are delighted to announce that we have recently started sponsoring an adorable Guide Dog puppy! We received several name suggestions for this cute pup, and third year undergraduate Psychology student Emilie Paulsen’s suggestion of Sansa was the winner! Emilie said:

For the last three years, we’ve been consulting our members about what we wanted the Union to be, starting with the Redbrick research – a survey about students’ interests – to the brand review consultation we ran this year and the ‘Who Are You’ lifestyle survey.

For the brand review, we ran a huge survey (2,500 of you took part) and held many workshops and drop-ins, which means that 10% of the membership got involved in the process. If you cast your minds back to Freshers’ Week, we held two Meet the Guide Dog events at Highfield and Winchester, where you donated to The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association in return for a cuddle with lots of cute guide dogs. Both events were a storming success, with lots of smiling students and wagging tails!
