This is a brilliant opportunity to develop your skills whilst working with a student-led charity organisation to represent our members and make positive changes to student life. The roles are part-time, meaning they can fit alongside your studies nicely – they will help boost your CV, too! The positions we are looking to fill are:

Working with the Student Communities Coordinator, this role consists of raising awareness of multiculturalism in Southampton and celebrating diversity across campuses. The ceremony, held on Thursday 11 May at The Cube, gives us a chance to recognise the incredible contribution our academic reps and University staff make to our members. We’ve received some lovely comments already, including staff that are “approachable and kind” and reps who have been “brilliant at listening” to student feedback.
Who do you think has gone that extra mile academically?
Perhaps you know a lecturer, Personal Tutor, or Academic Rep that has inspired you or really gone out of their way to support you in your studies. If you think they deserve recognition, why not nominate them for an Academic Award.

You wouldn’t turn down your dream job – so hurry and nominate yourself in our Spring Elections before 13:00 today!
All you need is passion and an interest in the area and we will offer full training on the job. Our Full-Time Officer positions are salaried and our Part-Time Student Leader roles can fit flexibly around your degrees.
We understand that you want to brush up those manifestos as you would a regular job application. However, make sure you don’t miss the deadline today to run for one of our roles.
Five members of our Performing Arts societies were nominated for the Daily Echo’s Curtain Call Awards in January. The Academy Award-style ceremony took place at Southampton’s Grand Harbour Hotel on Friday 27 January with more than 400 actors and theatre lovers in attendance to celebrate the achievements of youth amateur dramatics groups in the South.
The nominations are as follows:
Darius Timmerman (Theatre group) for his role as Moses in Animal Farm. Applauded for realising “his inner holy roller perfectly as this preaching crow”.
Charlie Randall (Showstoppers) received two nominations for his roles as Paul Muddle in Freelancers and Stephano
