2016 NSS Results Announced

In General

We had a high percentage of respondents who responded that they neither agreed nor disagreed with the statement (20%) or felt the Union was not applicable to them (2%). This represents a large percentage of our members who are indifferent and … Read the rest

We’ve got nine places left on Union Council that will be up for grabs at the next meeting, on Monday 2 December at 7pm.

Union Council is the top decision-making body here at SUSU and sets the direction for everything we do, and also holds your elected officers to account.

We’re very pleased to announce that following consultation with students, a plan to radically transform the social, catering and support facilities at Winchester School of Art has been approved by the University of Southampton.

Women’s Workshop This Week

In General

Calling all women!

This Wednesday we’re running a FREE Women’s Workshop in The Café (Building 42, Highfield campus) between 3pm and 5pm.

With 54% of students at the University of Southampton female, it’s disappointing that this is not reflected in the elected officers at SUSU and that women at the University of Southampton are therefore under represented in the students’ union.

This workshop aims to talk about key tools like confidence, assertiveness and public speaking, while also inspiring the next generation of excellent females of SUSU. We’ve got guest speakers and practical hands-on sessions, so whether you’re considering running to … Read the rest
