Children’s Halloween Party

In General

Gather up your little ones and take them down to The Diner (B42), Highfield campus for a spooky afternoon of fun and games at our Halloween-themed Party on  Saturday 29 October between 15:00-17:00.

You can relax and meet other student parents, while your children have the chance to get creative with pumpkin designing.

Enjoy free refreshments to keep you going!

Union Southampton funded project presented at United Nations

In General

A University of Southampton student presents his sustainable fishing project to the United Nations, following a £300 investment from our Union.

We made the £300 investment towards prototypes as part of the our Enterprise Fund in May 2016. The fund aims to support students launch their own businesses and community projects.

Andreas Ostrovsky, presented ‘Right Light Technologies’ to the United Nations last week to showcase his project to help create an environmentally and economically sustainable fishing industry. Right Light Technologies design solar powered fishing lamps as an alternative to pressurised kerosene lanterns used in the night fishing industry in Daggaa … Read the rest

Our Student Media Opportunities

In General

Here at Southampton we are proud to have over 300 student run student groups, ensuring there is something for everyone. Among these are four award-winning media outlets as well as your very own student cinema, based in the heart of the Union. We launch five new minibuses for students

In General

We have launched five new minibuses for you to use!

All five fifteen-seater vans have full disabled access, roof racks and have been selected for their low carbon emissions.

The brand new blue Ford Transit vans will be used to deliver you home safely following student nights and library visits as part of our Safety Bus scheme. Student groups, including sports clubs and societies, will also be able to hire the buses for trips and fixtures.
