Night owls, rejoice! From Monday 06 November at 07:30, Hartley Library will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, until Friday 15 December.
Group Study Rooms will also be available to book 24/7 during this period.
Remember that after 22:00, the outer Library doors are card entry only, so you’ll need your University ID cards to gain access.

Yesterday evening saw the first Student Support Symposium at The Bridge to raise staff and student awareness of existing support services available to University of Southampton students.
As well as raising awareness of support, the Symposium was intended to let people hear about students’ first-hand experiences of mental ill health and to start working towards a ‘One Click’ system, where you will you will be guided through a series of questions online to reach the appropriate support quickly.

1 in 4 people will experience some kind of mental health problem in the course of a year.
Look out for the SU elephant, affectionately known as Trunky, which will be in a different part of the SU every month to raise awareness of mental health as part of the ‘Elephant in the Room’ campaign.

It’s been a busy time at #YourSUSU. From successfully campaigning for a 24 hour library, more Safety Buses running (with live tracking), to the opening of The Hub and creation of our Peer Support system, we’ve worked hard with some incredibly selfless and dedicated students to make your membership of SUSU really memorable.
There’s a lot that’s been done that we’re proud of, like opening of The Bar 3 Diner to accommodate more students in social spaces on campus. We’re always keen to hear what you think and what you want and try to help you make it a reality.
