This week we’re running our Expect Respect campaign, with a focus on sexual consent awareness. Last week, we saw the huge emergence of the #MeToo campaign on social media, where victims bravely shared their experiences of sexual harassment, assault, or violence, drawing attention to this widespread issue. We need to speak up and raise awareness about the importance and necessity of consent and make it clear that harassment is unacceptable.

We recently donated boxes of our off-brand t-shirts to a fantastic international charity called Farm4life.
Working predominantly in Ghana to provide communities with relief from financial, social and economic hardship, Farm4life aims to improve the education and general well-being of young people and adults.
Farm4life was co-founded by Lloyd and Karen Clewer following Lloyd’s visit to Jamestown, Accra, where he was saw first-hand the day-to-day struggles of those living in disadvantaged communities.

Before the end of term, we had a chat with Yasmin Sharif and Seda Bektas, two First Year students who achieved 3rd place in the Barclays Change the World Around You competition. There were over 200 applicants, making their win super impressive! This competition required university students across the UK to submit their idea for one thing they would like to change about the world.
