Following a successful student petition, we conducted an All Student Vote between Monday 10 December and Friday 12 January to gather our members’ opinion on the current restructure of the University. The questions were created in conjunction with the students who submitted the petition, and results were as follows:
Do you believe that there has been full and clear consultation with students on this restructure?
Yes – 325 votes (15%)
No – 1,843 (85%)
Do you believe that the Vice-Chancellor’s pay should be cut as part of the restructure?
I’m currently studying Fine Art and this is my very first year over at WSA.
What are you most looking forward to about being the Erasmus Park Halls President? What is your main aim?

It has come to light that the University is in the process of implementing a restructuring of the Residents’ Support Service (RESSUP), moving from an overnight service to a 24-hour one, which will result in an 18 to 20% cut in take-home pay for the members of that team according to UNISON.

Members of our Marketing and Communications Crew hit campus last week to gain your views on the student experience in both Southampton and Winchester.
The crew, who are also students here at the University of Southampton, took ipads around campus to encourage you to fill out the National Student Survey (NSS).
The national survey, which can be completed at www.thestudentsurvey.co.uk, is a UK-wide feedback indicator, which is used to help us and the University to improve the student experience.
Open to all final year undergraduate students, we use the information to make positive changes for the future.
