Congratulations to our incredible RAG team for working so hard to raise an amazing £165, 194.05 for charity during last year.

Each year, our student-run group focuses its fundraising efforts on three nominated charities, voted on by you! in 2015-16, Make A Wish Foundation, Student Minds, and The Red Lipstick Foundation were just some of the beneficiaries of the total, plus you of course! From charity Colour Runs to Christmas Fayres, you have had the opportunity to make friends, achieve some incredible challenges and have a lot of fun in the process.

If you cast your minds back to Freshers’ Week, we held two Meet the Guide Dog events at Highfield and Winchester, where you donated to The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association in return for a cuddle with lots of cute guide dogs. Both events were a storming success, with lots of smiling students and wagging tails!

2016 has already been a huge year for RAG, having raised an enormous £4754.87 for charity during The Big Give, boosting their annual running total up to a spectacular £60,616.88, compared to £40,967.53 at the same point last year (correct at the last count in February). We think it’s fair to say that there are many students who deserved to be awarded for this amazing contribution to charity!
