It’s time to take over your students’ union!

Nominations for the 2014 elections open today, with over 70 places up for grabs as the time comes to take over your students’ union!

You can nominate yourself today just by going to http://www.susu.org/running-your-union/elections/2013/spring/

This year, we’ve made it even easier to get involved, as you no longer need students as supporters on your application.

If you think you might be interested but want to find out more before jumping in, you can come along to the concourse between 12 and 3pm on Friday and chat to Union President David Gilani about what’s involved.

One month to go to spring elections!

Nominations for spring elections open in one month on Friday 7 February at 12pm. The nominations will then close on Monday 17 February.

Voting takes place between Monday 24 and Friday 28 February (week 22) and the results will be announced on Friday at a special Results Night ceremony, starting at 7pm in the Cube.

70 positions are up for election, from President of the Union to Union Councillors.

Up for grabs are seven full-time (sabbatical) positions, and 63 part-time positions – Student Leaders, student trustees and Union Councillors – you can find out more about the positions here.… Read the rest

Voting in Elections 2013 now open!

Voting is now open in the 2013 Elections – which means that YOU have the chance to help decide how SUSU is run for the next year.

For the first time ever we’re electing the next team of Sabbatical Officers, Student Leaders, Trustees and Union Councillors at the same time – and you can vote for positions in the areas of SUSU that you care about. To help you do this, we’ve launched a new eChoice app which helps you to find candidates who have similar views to you – try it out on the website now.
