Update on our Sabb team 2020-21

In News

On Wednesday 01 July, the new Sabbatical Officer team will take office for the academic year 2020/21. However, we have unfortunately been made aware recently that the student elected to the role of VP Education & Democracy will be unable to fulfil the requirements of the role because of their particular visa restrictions.

We will, therefore, be holding a by-election for the role of VP Education & Democracy, which will open on Monday 29 June.

Update on SUSU Staff and Sabbatical Officers

As a result of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to furlough some SUSU staff and Sabbatical Officers.

We, like many other organisations, have been having conversations about furloughing some of our staff. Although we are currently in a strong financial position, we expect the effects of the ongoing situation will be long-term, so we are doing everything we can to prepare for this.
