Free events you can join in with!

As part of our Pre-sessional programme, this summer we are offering you the opportunity to join in with tonnes of events and trips for FREE. This year, we have opened our events to all students, because we believe the more, the merrier!

This week we have held an Advice Centre drop-in and an opportunity to try out Tai Chi and play badminton and basketball, plus much more. In the same year that our very own student-led television station, SUSUtv, turns ten years old, we caught up with new Station Manager, Alex Smith, to find out why he thinks you should give SUSUtv a go.

The Pre-sessional programme is back for another summer which means the Union will become a one-stop shop for some great FREE activities and events to welcome our Pre-sessional students. And the best part – you can get involved too!

Get all the support you need to help you settle in with our free Advice Drop-In on Monday, make your halls a home with a herb garden from our gardening session and get to know your fellow students at our BBQ on Friday, plus much more!

It’s time to kick back, relax with a pint and meet Charles Roffey, President of Real Ale and Cider Society and Treasurer, Josh Upton. With eighty members, the Real Ale and Cider Society endorses local pubs and breweries and samples what they have to offer as well as offering discounts at the best places around Southampton.

Road Cycling Club raises £8,000 for bike maintenance stands

Cycling has become an increasingly popular way of getting across campus. It’s free, good exercise and you’re looking after the environment at the same time! To help you out and encourage you to keep on cycling safely, Road Cycling Club (SURC) has been busy raising over £8,000 to fund public bike maintenance stands for you to use across the University.
