We received a total of 181 nominations for our Excellence in Volunteering Awards (EVAs), which have been carefully whittled down to a shortlist of 66 entries.

If you are a cycling fanatic, but your bike isn’t running as smoothly as you would like, come along to the Red Brick Area outside Building 42 to have a check-up with the Bike Doctor.

On Monday, we announced the long awaited details for this year’s Graduation Ball at Southampton’s O2 Guildhall. We revealed that DJ Fresh will be just one of the acts headlining the event, alongside a whole host of entertainment featuring everything from local DJ Drop Division to fairground classics and masseoke.
As well as all of that, we can now confirm that this year’s Graduation Ball will be featuring a DJ set from none other than Clean Bandit.

Just wanted to catch you all up on what’s been happening at the Students’ Union lately.
Intercampus Travel: We’re pleased to confirm that if you’re an interdisciplinary PGR in FNES, FEE or Medicine who travels regularly between University campuses you should now be able to arrange with your graduate school to reclaim your bus fares if they exceed £100 a year. This has been agreed with the Doctoral College and should mean that PGRs in this position should no longer be left significantly out of pocket for what is a research expense.
It’s official: we’ve moved from a brand review to a full-on rebrand. It probably feels like we started this journey a lifetime ago, but we’re finally on the home stretch to revealing the new look of your Students’ Union, and trust us – it’s much better than the ‘brand’ we unveiled for April Fools’!
Since our last update, our team and Holdens’ branding agency have been working hard to develop the initial brand route that was voted on at Union Council.
