National Student Survey Results 2018

The results are in for The National Student Survey 2018. We are excited to announce that the University of Southampton Students’ Union student satisfaction rate for academic representation has risen by over 7% to 50.9%.

This is great news and we are pleased to see our hard work during the 2017/18 academic year has had a positive impact on the overall student experience at Southampton.

This year we trained over 200 Academic Representatives and acted on over 270 student ideas and suggestions through our You Make Change platform, including improving services in the library and creating new study spaces at … Read the rest

As the Semester One exam period is fast approaching, we’re pleased to announce the return of the Union’s You Are More Than campaign, supporting each and every student with a range of study spaces in the Union, events and activities. It’s important to take a break and relax away from your exams, assignments and hand-ins.

Hot Water: an update!

Hello everyone, Samuel Dedman here – VP Education for the 2017/18 year. My role encompasses everything to do with educational experience at the University, including a whole bunch of work on study spaces and facilities.

Quite a few of us have been asking about free hot water access – this is something which the Students’ Union’s Academic Reps have campaigned on for many years now, and I’m pleased to bring a series of updates on the issue.
