It was fantastic to meet so many of you at our first Free Fruit Fridays last week. For those of you who haven’t heard about it, Free Fruit Fridays is a brand new initiative led by the WSA Committee, and it’s exactly what it sounds like – you’ll will receive free fruit from the Students’ Union and the Student Committee, no strings attached. This project will run fortnightly on Fridays, in the WSA Cafe from approximately 10:00 until 14:00, although it may finish sooner depending on when we run out … Read the rest

Today we celebrated the career of one of our longest standing employees, Ms Debbie Geddes, who is retiring after 31 years (and two months) with the Union.

Debbie has worked with four Shop Managers and in four different locations of the shop – including a nine year run at the Archers Road Campus.  Debbie was part of a strong core of long term staff members who have ensured that our shop is consistently one of the best in the country.  She inducted and managed thousands of student employees over the years and has always been a shop favourite with her … Read the rest
