Graduation 2014 Arrives

In General

As you will know, last week marked the beginning of graduation ceremonies on campus. Droves of students have been turning up in their finest dress, both excited and nervous. The words on most graduands’ lips spoke excitement for this official-feeling step into the real world, and mostly nervous about this ‘strange’ handshake they had never encountered before… well that and falling over in front of family, friends and lectures. What can we say, so far the ceremonies have been nothing but a great success, campus being blessed with beautiful sunshine to accompany the celebrations.

Even though professional photographs are available … Read the rest

In General

Last week at SUSU saw the end of an era, as the Sabbatical team from 2013/14 handed over to the incoming officers prior to the beginning of their year in office this Tuesday.

We spoke to the new Sabbatical team about the handover week, and about their outlook on the year in general. They were all in agreement that the handover week had been a fantastic experience, with Anjit Aulakh (incoming VP Communities) saying that it had been “probably [his] best week in Southampton yet… surreal and an absolute blast.”
