It was fantastic to meet so many of you at our first Free Fruit Fridays last week. For those of you who haven’t heard about it, Free Fruit Fridays is a brand new initiative led by the WSA Committee, and it’s exactly what it sounds like – you’ll will receive free fruit from the Students’ Union and the Student Committee, no strings attached. As you know from our blog post yesterday, we have recently welcomed two brand new members to the WSA Committee 2017/18. We chatted to all six members of the committee to help you get to know them a little better, and put a face to a name. First up, let’s meet Venezia (or Venny as she likes to be called) who was elected as our new WSA Campus President in the Autumn Elections this year.
Following the results from the Autumn Elections, we are proud to welcome two brand new members to the WSA Committee 2017/18 – Venezia Georgieva as WSA Campus President, and Bridgett Medeiros as International Officer. Big congratulations to you both!

Campus President – Venezia (Venny) Georgieva
As the Campus President, Venny’s main aim is to make positive changes to your everyday life at University. She is therefore responsible for making your voice heard at both Winchester and Southampton campuses.
Voting for our Autumn Elections is now open. This is your chance to have your say on who will represent you, make your voice heard and feedback your ideas and concerns to those who can make change happen.
Vote for who will be your Course Reps, Faculty Officers, Halls Committee and Zones members. Postgrad students can choose who will be on the Postgraduate Committee and WSA students can decide who they would like to be their Winchester Campus President and International Officer.

We continually work to find new ways to improve our services to you in Winchester, so you can access opportunities that will make your student experience at University. For the first time ever this year, we have created a Winchester Student Committee, which includes roles for elected students to take ownership of the Union and to give you the chance to work with us to make the changes you want to see.
