SUSU has donated a record-breaking £235,313.63 to charity over the 2018-19 academic year! This total was achieved through student fundraising and SUSU’s Raise and Give (RAG) Group.
The donations have benefited over 35 charities includingHelp Refugees, Anthony Nolan, Yellow Doorand Trinity Winchester. The total was raised through a variety of events and activities students could get involved with, such as mountain treks, bake sales, quiz nights, 10k runs and much more.

After student consultation, The Cafe will re-open as ‘The Plant Pot’, a vegan and vegetarian cafe with a zero-waste shop, in the new academic year.
Work is currently underway to transform the current space ready for it’s re-opening in September, where it will serve a brand new, all vegan and vegetarian menu.
After shortlisting from over 100 name suggestions from students and two rounds of voting, The Plant Pot was announced as the new name. The new space will also sell healthy snacks, drinks and will feature re-fillable stations for bulk foods such as, pasta, rice, pulses and grains.… Read the rest

For the second year running,Feminist Societysuccessfully put on a ‘Catwalk4Consent’ a fashion show and accompanying exhibition to raise awareness of sexual consent.

The #Catwalk4Consentaims to not only raise awareness but also “deconstruct victim blaming culture” whilst fundraising for local charity, Yellow Door.

The results are in for The National Student Survey 2018. We are excited to announce that the University of Southampton Students’ Union student satisfaction rate for academic representation has risen by over 7% to 50.9%.
This is great news and we are pleased to see our hard work during the 2017/18 academic year has had a positive impact on the overall student experience at Southampton.
