Have you ever wondered what a Marrowthon is?

For our 3rd successive year the Southampton Marrowthon makes a glorious return to beautiful Southampton Common! You can all come running/walking/jogging whilst basking in the warm spring sun (hopefully!) and raising money for the Anthony Nolan Trust and their lifesaving work!

When?
…27th March 2011

Where?
The Common, Southampton

What?
There will be 3 events running on the day, a competitive 10km, and 5km run. Accompanied by a shorter 3km fun run so everyone can take part!

How?
Sign up online at http://www.anthonynolan.org/What-you-can-do/Events—Fundraising/Run-with-us/5k/Southampton-Marrowthon.aspx

Who?
We are Southampton Marrow, the student branch of Anthony Nolan. We help sign potential donors up to the register and fundraise for Anthony Nolan so they can continue their life saving work!

Why?
To help raise money for the fantastic Anthony Nolan trust. The Anthony Nolan Trust recruit people onto the bone marrow register which provides lifesaving transplants for people with diseases such as Leukaemia.

Sign up fee’s are as follows:
• 10km – £8
• 5km/3km – £5

We also ask you to raise a minimum of £30, a very small amount that anyone can raise! On the day you will be provided with free water and an Anthony Nolan goodie bag!

On the day there will be a spit clinic where you can sign up to the Anthony Nolan register and become a potential lifesaver, so even if you’re not running and just there to support come along and sign up!

This is a fantastic cause and is destined to be a brilliant day, with the possibility of a certain famous sports personality attending, so get online, sign up and get fundraising!
