Know Someone Who Would Be Good At Leading Your Union?
This years Sabbatical Officer and Trustee elections are right around the corner. In fact nominations open on Monday 6th!
The sabbatical officers are 6 elected paid full time officers who run SUSU on a day to day basis.
My personal experience has taught me it is a demanding but extreamly rewarding role and I would encourage anyone to do it.
However if you ask most people why they did nominate themselves. Most will tell you that it is because someone told them they would be great at the role.
So we want you to tell us which of your fellow students would make a good sabbatical.
We will contact everyone suggested and send them all the information they need to get started, and we’ll keep you annoymous. Ideally with your help we will get more great candidates to run then ever before.
Suggest!

can anyone run in these elections? Who will vote? Please give more information

Yes anyone (who is a student) can run in these elections.
They are voted for by the people who already sit on union council (as opposed to the rest of the union councillor elections which all students vote for).
If you are around on Highfield campus today, I am happy to meet for 15 mins to explain in more detail.

I have lectures from 12-6 and probably wouldn’t be able to attend union council tonight because of cu events week. However where will you be?

We will be in the Cube,
if you send me a short piece on why you would like to be a councillor we can take that as a nomination and you will not need to be present.
email me; vpcomms@susu.org
