
Performing Arts Clean Up!
Last weekend SUSU Performing Arts have cleaned up in a whole host of competitions!
On friday Showstoppers took away 3 awards from the Hampshire Curtain Call Awards for amature dramatics and Performing Arts as a whole were nominated for an astonishing 14 in total! Check out the nominations/winners:

Nominee: Best actor in a musical – Peter “Peewee” Ward (Showstoppers)
Nominee: Best performance in an opera – Timothy Case (Light Operatic Society)
Nominee: Best performance in an opera – Megan Gibson (Light Operatic Society)
Nominee: Best director of a musical or opera – Jon Haines (Showstoppers)
Nominee: Best director of a musical or opera – Steve Hosking & Matt Ronchetti (Showstoppers)
Nominee: Best musical director – Keziah Jacombs (Light Operatic Society)
On top of this our dance societies spent the weekend at Essex Dance competition placed in all 8 competitions avalible:
1st place: Novice Ballet, Advanced Ballet, Novice Tap, Advanced Tap, Novice Street
2nd place: Lyrical
3rd place: Advanced Contemporary, Advanced Jazz
