Summer Elections: Vice President Winchester and Sites, Union Councillors

Following agreement of elections committee I can announce the timetable of the Summer Elections. This set of elections includes the delayed election of Vice President Winchester & Sites sabbatical position.

The election was delayed until after Easter following a decision of Union Council, December 2011.

The timetable for the election is as follows:

• Nominations Close: Tuesday 8th May 00:00
• Candidates Briefing: Tuesday 8th May 12:00
• Campaigning Begins: Tuesday 8th May 13:00
• Voting Opens: Thursday 10th May 09:00
• Voting Closes: Friday 11th May 18:00

and is to elect the following positions:

Sabbatical

• Vice President Winchester & Sites

Student Leader by-election

• Outreach (site) Officer
• Winchester (site)  Officer
• Postgraduate (Research) Students’ Officer
• Social & Human Sciences (Faculty) Officer
• Business & Law (Faculty) Officer

Union Councillors 

30 selected to reflect the membership of the Union, with two from each of the following:

• Post-graduate taught students
• Post-graduate research students
• Part-time students
• Mature Undergraduate students
• Students with Disabilities
• European Students
• International Students
• Each faculty
