AGM – What do you care most about?

Over the last few weeks, students have been submitting their ideas to be discussed at the Annual General Meeting.

After collecting all your ideas, we are now giving students the choice to tell us which of them are most important.

At the AGM, we only have 2 hours to discuss policy, which can then direct SUSU for the coming year; so this year we wanted to make sure that the things that really matter to students get heard first.

We are giving students 24 hours to poll on the ideas that they care most about, which will then form a priority list in terms of which policies are heard first at the AGM.

AGM-bannerPolling will be open until 7pm tomorrow (Thursday 25th April). Students will still be able to submit motions to the AGM, however will be ranked below those which students have polled on.

Also – polling is open right…. NOW! If you’re interested in any of the ideas from the AGM, but aren’t bothered enough to attend in person, or know that you’re going to be busy on 8th May, then you can register a ‘proxy vote’, so that you can submit your vote before the meeting even happens, or so that you can vote live online, whilst watching on SUSUtv! – Isn’t technology wonderful?

Who decided which proposals should be voted on by students? I was under the impression that all proposals would be put forward. I only ask, as I know of a few friends proposals haven’t been put forward to this voting stage!

    Hey Oli,

All the ideas that were submitted have been put forward to this stage apart from one that was offensive. There might have been some technical error, do you know what were the policies about?

I can’t vote on any of the options. I’ve tried refreshing a number of times. The ‘Discuss’ or ‘Don’t discuss’ buttons are grayed out 🙁

Hey Sophie – one thing you can try doing is removing the ‘s’ from your url in https at the start. That sometimes causes problems. If that’s not working then you can send your preferences over to vpcomms@susu.org (if you don’t mind me knowing them) and I’ll make sure that they’re added to the totals.

Hope it works for you, Sophie. We’re extending polling until 7pm to give people a last chance.
