Who wants to run the Grad Ball?

grad ball“The term Grad Ball is derived from ancient Rome where pupils could only officially complete their education and graduate if they had become strong enough to lift a massive spherical object atop their library.” – … …Said no one ever.

The Grad Ball is obviously the biggest event of the year where graduating students come together to celebrate the end of University, and the start of everything beyond.

I want to introduce something special for this year’s Graduation Ball… the chance for 12 students to get some amazing experience by coming together to help organise this massive event. I believe that it’s important to put students at the heart of our commercial services, and this has some amazing opportunities for you:

  • Influence spending of up to £80,000
  • Select the massive acts that will perform
  • Add all the special touches that make this more than any other night out
  • Make sure that your peers get the night that they deserve

The committee will meet roughly each month to plan and develop aims for the event. It is expected that all students who put themselves forward will engage thoroughly online and take up a specific area of responsibility / interest, once the main themes of the event have been decided. Although the workload will be flexible, students are expected to be able to give up a couple of hours each week.

Only students graduating this year can be a part of our Grad Ball committee, and obviously spaces are limited, so if you want to take part – put yourself forward by Friday 22nd November at 9am! That’s just 1 week away.

If you want to be part of the fun… put yourself forward HERE!

Cheers for reading

Well, of course your students will run the grad ball, but we’d sure like to help out. We’ve done Swansea Uni Balls for the last few years, looking after Bournemouth this year too. We’re a tech production company; mainly lighting but can pull together sound, AV (including our particularly fab LED video wall), staging etc all in one package.
Bit cheeky getting in touch this way, maybe it was just good timing as we are about to mail lots of unions and the diary will soon fill up; so seeing the article worked in grabbing our attention!
Drop us a line if you are interested.
    Cheers

“Select the massive acts that will perform”… I think this should be corrected to “Select the massive acts that will ACTUALLY TURN UP”

pfft… ironic coming from you, Example! You were the one who didn’t show up… I’m amazed that you feel brave enough to show your face around here after what you pulled.
