What have you done today to make you feel good?

Probably not a lot seeing as it is the first day of a new year.

However this is your chance to have an impact on someone else’s day!

SVW-Blue-textThis year Student Volunteering Week is 24th February until March 1st – celebrating the variety of volunteering that students engage in. Southampton Hub and Community Action are organising a whole load of events, opportunities and awareness raising stunts to help celebrate the brilliant stuff that you do as a student.

The idea is to celebrate actions of students who don’t wish things were better but make it better instead.

As well as running projects through out the week, both on and off of Highfield and other campus’, Monday 24th is Good Deed Day. The idea is that small acts of kindness can have a big impact on someone elses day. Things as small as walking up to someone and telling them a joke, clearing someone’s plate away for them or just hi-fiving a stranger.

This is where you come in!

We need your suggestions for 30 second – 1 minute actions that would improve your day or you think would be pretty brilliant.

Post below this blog or email The suggestions will be pinned on a board on Highfield Campus and people will be asked to pick one and act on it through out the day to spread a bit of cheer and show that everyone has a bit of time they can take to make some one elses day a little better!

Hope you are enjoying your winter break!
